Why take CAEL?
The Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) Test measures the English Language proficiency of students planning to study at Canadian universities and colleges. CAEL is accepted by over 180 Canadian post-secondary institutions, as well as by several professional organizations.
Test takers read articles, listen to a lecture, answer questions, and write a short essay, as they would be expected to do in a Canadian university or college classroom.

CELPIP
CELPIP is Canada’s leading general English language proficiency test for permanent residency, citizenship, and professional designation. The Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) Test allows test takers to demonstrate their ability to function in English. The test accurately and precisely assesses a test taker’s English abilities in various everyday situations, such as communicating with co-workers and superiors in the workplace, interacting with friends and responding to written materials.
IRCC Approved for PR Status
The CELPIP – General test is the IRCC approved test for Permanent Residency Applications.
CELPIP – General LS Test (Only in Canada)
Evaluates test taker’s English speaking and listening skills and is used for citizenship applications and professional designation. The CELPIP -LS test is the IRCC approved test for Canadian citizenship applications.
